Fatema Centre for Holistic Health Research and Child Development
We would like to commence by thanking Almighty Allah and His Holiness, Syedna Mohammed Burhannuddin RA and Syedna Ali Qdar Mufaddal Saifuddin Tus. for their immense blessings on us.
Dr.Fatema’s mother raised her bravely and independently at a place known as Nallasopara situated near the better-developed area of Vasai Road. She was only thirteen when her parents decided to part ways after twenty-two years of being married.
Not having attained an education herself, her mother decided to provide her with best education . For this, she worked hard and earned money by stitching clothes. They continued with their lives, holding empty hopes in their hearts of being the happy family that they once were. Being a voracious reader and a conscientious student, Dr Fatema graduated in Microbiology with top grades despite all odds looking forward to a great future after being married to Ismail, in 1980. Fate has its own ways. On 3’rd April, 1981, she saw the shattering of one of her newly cherished dreams, that she had seen with her husband, Ismail, her childhood friend. Ismail belonged to a very conservative, orthodox family. Yet he was quite a revolutionary and possessed a mind of his own. His attitude towards life was very relaxed and pleasing at the same time that won her heart.
Her dream was to cuddle their baby, as is portrayed in television and cinema when she was twenty-one. With the rushing of the nurses and the chemical smell of the hospital, her beautiful son came into the world. Although she was a little drowsy, she heard the muffled voices of her husband and the doctors. Her son was rushed to an intensive care unit as he was low birth weight and needed oxygen. The advent of her BLUE BABY, anoxic son was when her life completely turned around.
Dr Fatema was changed from a shy, docile girl to a strong headed empowered woman to take charge of her life, brave up to all the challenges to help her son, with Spastic Cerebral palsy be the 1st Doctor in the world.
